This historic barn conversion into a private residence had to be extremely sensitive to pass through planning. Originally limited to a single storey building we fought hard to include a mezzanine level in the central double height space.

 

Shadow gaps were used to create the illusion that the new structure floated inside the existing adding to the sensitivity of the design.
